The Doreen Kennedy Care Agency is managed by Doreen Kennedy.
“I have been involved in caring for the elderly since 1985 and have undertaken several business, first aid and other relevant training to be able to manage our Agency efficiently and effectively. Caring for people is a passion of mine, hence our standards of care are very high.
Ours is a family-run agency; you will not speak to a different person each time you call. You will be dealt with personally either by myself and you can be assured that we will be fully conversant with your needs and requirements.
We are one of only a few independent, family-run agencies remaining in the UK private sector, who are still able to offer one to one personal care and attention to both our clients and our carers.”
Aims and objectives
To provide a professional, caring and reliable service to clients requiring full or part-time care but wishing to remain in the comfort of their own homes.
The Doreen Kennedy Care Agency is not a nursing agency but endeavours to provide companion carers to live in, on a one to one basis, in the client’s own home.
The Doreen Kennedy Care Agency is committed that services continue to meet the Clients needs. Our Quality Assurance commences with the recruitment of the best Cares possible and continues with constant monitoring and feedback from Clients.
The vetting of Carers to be placed on our Register will be done in as thorough and meticulous way as is possible. We follow a stringent recruitment procedure to ensure that all of our Companions/Carers/Support Workers are compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS).
We undertake rigorous compliance reviews to ensure that all of our Carers have the relevant qualifications and experience necessary for the service they will provide. This includes Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks, health declaration, working history, detailed reference checks.
References will always be verified and taken up, verbally, and in writing. These references will be made available to a Client for inspection should they so wish.
